Carl J. Sorheim is the AACTA-nominated writer/director behind viral videos counting over 10 million views ('Covered in Exposure'; 'Bitcoin explained') and several Tropfest films and scripts ('Off The Meter'; 'Mop Head'; 'Waste of Time'). Carl’s script 'Beast' won the coveted Best Australian Short Film in Sydney's Academy accredited Flickerfest and was subsequently long-listed for The Oscars in 2018, but his experience spans beyond fiction. Sorheim has a background in the armed forces, journalism, and as Story Producer on Award-winning feature documentaries ('A Brilliant Genocide'). Carl is a casting wiz, a copy champ, and a super proud dad with only a charming amount of dag*. He specializes in comedy and directing kids, animals, and sometimes cross-bred child/animal beings (Queenslanders too!) He has commercials for Ice Break, Cadbury, Bonds, SBS, McCain, Chemist Warehouse and Cooper's under his belt.
